Tommy Welch
Pastor at Peace
“Why did you want to be a pastor?”
People ask me that question a lot. I think my answer will tell you a little about me.
I decided to become a pastor for the simple reason that I love God and I love people. And what better way is there for me to love God and people than to share God’s great love with people like you? I’m thrilled to do this for a living because I get to see first-hand how the message of God’s peace changes people's lives every single day.
After I decided to pursue this profession, I enrolled at Martin Luther College in New Ulm, MN in 2013. I received a BA there and met my wife Grace. We married in 2016. Then, in 2018, I enrolled at Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary in Mequon, WI to start my graduate studies. During these four years, I continued the studies I began in college, studies in the original biblical languages (Hebrew and Greek), counseling, preaching, outreach, and more. I've been the pastor at Peace since 2022.
If you’d like to learn more about Peace, please don’t hesitate to reach out! I’d love to meet for a no-strings-attached cup of coffee to tell you more about the peace that God has given you through Jesus.
